Coach Mark has coached for over 23 years.  He has a daughter that use to swim and now he has a granddaughter that has started swimming.  At 14 he made a decision for swimming as his one sport.  That summer he won a gold medal in an international meet in backstroke.  He knew he made the right decision.

Coach Mark was born here in Houston and pretty much stayed here.  His philosophy is; “teach them how to swim it right and let them build it from there”.  It works because he had some swimmers make it to Olympic trials.  Currently, he is coaching at Houston Christian High School and has been for the last 7 years.  Under Coach Mark’s leadership, Houston Christian High School boys won state and the girls won third.  This was the first time for any sport under the school’s new name.

Coach Michalle has been coaching at LSST since 2008.  She moved to Houston at age 10 when she also learned to swim and has loved the sport of swimming ever since.

Coach Michalle was a breaststroker and long distance swimmer and also swam for Cypress-Fair High School.  She hopes to share her love and enjoyment of swimming.

A preschool teacher for 12 years,  Coach Michalle started a gross motor skills class for her school and taught this for the last 10 years.  She has three children her two oldest girls played soccer and one is now a junior at Texas A&M.  The other daughter is a senior at Cypress-Falls High School and plays varsity soccer.  Her son is an 8th grader at Arnold Middle School. Coach Michalle has been married for 23 years and her family is very active in her church and their love for sports.
